Sounds like troublesome board maybe that's why it's cheap?

Be aware of reviews on newegg now. They have started to group similar items from the same manufacturers. Not sure if its the case with this one. There should be an option to view reviews on one specific motherboard.

Reviews are a joke, this is the best bang for the buck board on the market. Flash to bios 4.7 and let 'er rip.

My system specs:

- Ryzen 7 1700 @ 3.77 - stock cooling - 1.23 vcore
- Asrock x370 Pro4
- Asus RX 580 8GB
- G.Skill Flare X 2400 @ 3066
- Acer 144Hz - 1080p

Cinebench: 1669

Roughly 140 fps in Doom 2016, ultra settings, Vulkan.

Do it now.

Looking at doing my first build. Will this work with Ryzen 2700 that's FP? Am I better off with something else.

Agreed. Amazon does the same thing and it's just irritating.

The latest review (yesterday) was for a guy who had a 2700 and it was an old bios that needs a flash. I think there are boards that have the latest bios, but it's a lottery as to what you'll get.

I picked up a 2700 for 200 dollars during the ebay 20 percent sale and have been pretty disappointed by the AMD state of affairs with motherboards. If I could be sure I wouldn't need to flash things, I'd pick that board up, but I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and pick this one up:

Might be too pricey for your tastes, but these are the only two I've really been considering.

Not yet. They are still shipping with bios v4.50.

Amd had many options for updating bios to support ryzen. If all else fails then they will mail you a loaner processor. https://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-...ootup.aspx
