I just bought the rigid but may take it back and get this as many have said its better along with the stand the price is pretty solid.

If memory serves me right the biggest difference was the support of dado blades for the Rgid and this particular Dewalt model does not.

Be careful... I don't believe this is the same as the DWE7491RS model which has the greater rip capacity and dado blade capability. This is simply the smaller saw with a stand. Still a decent deal, but just understand what it is.

This is a good saw, and a good price with stand. It was my second choice when I bought. I went with the Hitachi at Lowe's. It was about $275 after coupon, comes with stand, takes a dado, and the table is bigger.

For home shops, the Dewalt is easy to build into a table, giving you much more room to work with (if you don't need it to be super portable).

You are correct, it is the DWE7480 + rolling stand. That saw itself has often gone on sale for $300 itself, getting the stand for an extra $50 is pretty good if you want one.

I too got my hopes up when I saw the saw+stand pic as. Would be an amazing deal if it was the DWE7491RS.

I just picked up the DWE7491RS. This was the best deal I could come up with after watching it for quite awhile:
- I bought the saw on sale for $499.99 from $579.99
- I used a 10% mover discount worth $49.99
- After taxes (7%) my total was $481.50
- I paid $425 for a $500 Lowe's gift card at Dollar General
- The 10% mover coupon from eBay cost $5.95. I had to go this you route, because the purchase had to be made in store for the...
- 11% rebate from Lowe's matching Menard's worth $49.50

Ultimately, I paid about $430 for the table saw and nearly $70 of Lowe's gift cards. Not bad given the saw is regularly priced at $580!

Yeah, I have the DWE7480 and have been keeping an eye out for a 7491. I looked into them during the 20% sale at eBay, but the lowest base price was $560 ($460ac), so I passed this time.

I have the dw745 and absolutely love it, the fence is the absolute best, accurate cuts ever time. The only downside is that you can use a full dado stack, however you can use this smaller one as I found out from browsing woodworking forums. I have yet to pick one up but will probably do so soon.

bummer... looks like this is OOS already. I just bought the Kobalt saw that is on sale at Lowes right now. I was thinking of returning the Kobalt because I really like the Dewalt rack and pinion rail.

Try this one. Not sure if some of the last reviewers got a lemon or not, I have resized pressure treated 4x4-s using this table saw with no problem. Good luck with your woodworking Smilie

Thanks for finding these. I actually ended up returning the Kobalt and got the Hitachi last night. Hope its works out. I don't really want to return another table saw. I think I will be happy with the Hitachi
