iRobot 9 series vacuums will be on sale starting the 10th and eligible for the 20% off coupon at Bed Bath & Beyond just a heads up! Best Buy will also have them on sale as well.

Big difference between iRobot and the competitors is the 8 series and up have 2 rubber rollers which do a MUCH better job than any other robotic vacuum that uses the old bristle types. Tangle free and spools all hair on the ends of each roller.

I bought the D5 at bed bath beyond last week for the same price. Initially I wanted the Connected but couldn't find it at this price point. The specs are similar other than the larger battery, eco/turbo mode and additional brush for the Connected. Should I consider getting this deal at Best buy and returning the D5 to BB&B? I have 1100 sq ft hardwood and 50 lb black lab mix and black cat.

I have a D7 & if I had to do it again I would get the Connected & save the $100.
The longer battery time is really useful when compared to the D5.
We run eco mode once a week & the house feels much cleaner.

How is the return policy on these from Bestbuy? Can I try vaccumming for few days and still return for full refund if it doesn't work out?

Im looking for a vacuum/wet sweeper (like swifer pad). Any recommendations and what is a good price point? Would be for a tile floor which is about 2000 sq ft. with a bunch of "kid" obstacles.

Try price matching at bed bath and beyond. They have a lifetime return policy. Last time I was able to price match in store a ring pro doorbell flash sale on best buy aswell

Any cheaper deals on similar models without all the smartphone integration gadgetry? I don't really care to get in-depth with the programming / controls, just want a basic one that roams and cleans.

Unfortunately the best answer is 'Maybe', but if opened, very likely 'No' if it's been opened. But that's the reality with anything Best Buy because they allow a third party with zero interest in customer retention, customer service/relationship, or any negotiation/interpretation by you or store management to decide whether or not you can return a product. You can read more about it here:
http://www.businessinsider.com/st...ist-2018-3
Or basic Google Search for "Best Buy return TRE"

Have had a bad exp. with Neato lately in 2 Botvac's we got. Both went bad like clockwork within 1yr, after light use and being well-maintained. It's been tough resolving w/Neato who wants you to send everything back on your own dime. I used to be a very vocal advocate for them, not so much anymore Frown
On the other hand, Xiaomi one has been amazing, even though we do not utilize the smart functions on it.

I have purchased 3 bestie in the past. First one was plagued with issues. Warranty was a pain to get sorted. I purchased one as a house warming gift at the same time and they experienced the same issues- they have it tucked away in the garage collecting dust now after receiving two replacements.

It wouldn't be so bad if the customer service was decent. They treat you like you are trying to gain something from them. I mean, 300-600 for their device and then you get treated like a thief.

Purchased a newer model a year later hoping it would fair better. It was actually worse- and again no help from customer service. I ended up opening it up and finding the issue and fixing it myself. Turns out there is a resistor that sits too close to the board and over heats. It's bent on long prongs so you can bend it up and even add some temperature tape to the board to keep it from acting up.

I paid 220 for a Xiaomi Robot yesterday and I expected little to no CS. Which is expected, its only 200. But for 399 that and get no cs, why would anyone buy this?

TU for a good deal on this... I purchased a Botvac Connected from BB around Thanksgiving last year as my first entry into robot vacs. I knew I wanted a mapping robot due to the size of the space to be cleaned and jumped on it. I loved it (and so did my son) but I had no basis for comparison. I felt it did a good job cleaning our mix of hardwoods and rugs and I never had an issue with it in the 2-3 months we owned the device. Unfortunately our Connected was "lost" during a recent move; I opted to replace it with a Xiaomi Roborock S50 based on all the love the Xiaomi Mi (predecessor to the S50) robot got on SD. I have been extremely happy with the Roborock but understand some people have concerns over foreign purchases, security, etc and am not here to try sway anyone's decision.
