Good deal for Rigid.

For those who don't need the ruggedness of Rigid, the Husky Roller cart is $79.99 for all 3 similar pieces. I added the cantilever toolbox for another $29. So for ~$110 (or $20 more than this deal on the Rigid), you get a 4th toolbox that stacks on top. Or for $20 cheaper, you get the same size cart (if you don't want the additional toolbox)

If you need the ruggedness, I would go with the Rigid.

Ordered this last Saturday and it all arrived yesterday:
ToughSystem DS450 22 in. 17 Gal. Mobile Tool Box, DS130 Tool Box and DS300 Large Tool Box Combo Set (3 Components) [homedepot.com]

Pretty happy with the quality so far. Don't know how this Rigid set is compared to Dewalt's quality. If I'd known about this I would have saved the $40 towards something else. But I'm just going to keep my Dewalt.

Very nice. I've heard others say they prefer the handle on the dewalt. After fondling both in store over several months I would agree. Overall I preferred the ridgid set though.

Thanks, now I'm wrestling with this decision. I prefer quality but I like the clear cover on the husky organizer and lower price. Sigh

I have mine loaded up. No issues with it, but it stays inside my home. I don't work any jobs where I need to take it with me so it sits in the corner most of the time. However it's convenient to roll around.

If I were going to job sites like a mechanic, construction workers, plumber, etc, I would side with the Rigid, if not the Dewalt.

The way I see it, it's like buying a car. If you need it for heavy lifting and towing, you typically want an SUV or pickup truck. You aren't going to take a Toyota Yaris to tow anything. However, if you just need to get around, the Yaris will do the job just fine. The Yaris being the Husky.

Rigid is overkill if it's just for home use where it will sit most of the time. Maybe move a few times. That's why I went with the Husky.

Keep in mind that these rigid are currently on sale. So if you want additional pieces you'll be paying more than for the Husky's additional pieces.

What do you think of this? is this comparable capacity? Seems like a smaller footprint when standing vertical as well: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky.../205053257

FYI, I'm simply a home user.

Well, now... check THIS out. I'm thinking lowe's coupon combined with lowes discounted gift cards (see samsung pay gift card deals). https://www.lowes.com/pd/CRAFTSMA...1000392003

I almost got these during the holidays, instead I held out for the milwaukee packout and I'm happy I did. I use my boxes every day and it is well worth the extra money. If I need something for casual use at home, I'd pick these over dewalt boxes.

What about the Packout makes it worth the extra money? I'm just a home DIY user, so Packout is probably overkill for me.

FYI, I have looked at these Ridgid boxes in my local Home Depot, and they smell absolutely atrocious inside when you open them. I don't know if it's off-gassing that goes away after a while, but my goodness they smell like an ashtray inside.

Yea for the price, stick with this deal.

But the packout has large rolling wheels, handles a lot of abuse and I don't worry about it rolling around in the truck. But the best thing is the quick attach and release for the boxes. I can get to any box with one hand in a split second.
