Hello All,

I do not post many deals but I was in the market for a 1000' spool of Cat6A for a house project and all prices have been over $200 for PLENUM rated. I know CMR is cheaper and so is Cat5e and Cat6 as long as they are solid copper, but I was in the market for Cat6A specifically.

Monoprice via eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/391885708970
Monoprice via Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0711TRHGY
Monoprice via Sears: http://www.sears.com/monoprice-10...8553232427

On their own website, the cable costs $299, plus they charge for shipping
For reference only: https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=21798

Looks to me like this is a deal.

Looks to be a clearance item perhaps?

Expect a bunch of Thumbs Down because of the Price Mistake in the title, I did not TD, but Amazon also has it for the same price thru Monoprice.

To be clear (clearer) the eBay link is to Monoprice seller. Clearance yes, price mistake- probably not.

I thought this only has 300ft range by design
This is a 1000 ft. spool you cut the desired length and attach the ends. I have no comment about the rather this is a deal (As mine derives from work) .

As others have said, yes this is a spool. So there are no connectors and these need to be punched down manually.

And it's a 100M Range (~328ft)

Thanks for the tip. I dont post much, so wasn't too sure about price mistake or not. Removed the verbiage from the title and added the Amazon link to the main post.

Added a Monoprice via Sears link too since it appears to be the same price there.
Wish I got in on this yesterday while the eBay coupon was around, but oh well.

Do I need shielded for in wall drops?
Can this run within a conduit on the side of a house?

That's CAT6, not CAT6a. Monoprice is known to have fairly good quality cabling

Unless they will run directly side by side with electrical wiring, then the answer would be NO. I am also going to be doing wall drops from the attic throughout the entire house.
With regards to conduit on the side of the house, since it will be externally and exposed to elements, I do not see why you wouldn't be able to run it in a conduit, as long as it is something that can withstand the outside elements (sun, rain, snow). I'd recommend PVC maybe.
