This popular deal is back on eBay. Unfortunately we missed the 20% off for Father's day, but it's still a good price. $149 with free shipping.

If you're interested in 3D printing but don't want a kit to build, this is a good start. You can get better machines for cheaper, but you have to build them from scratch and that's over some people's heads, even though the kit is the best way to go.

Next closest price I found was $200 from B&H

If anyone ends up getting one of these, it's worth looking into setting up octopi, and using a raspberry pi as a print server/controller.

Make it a double deal and get the pi for free with the arrow.com deal.

I own 4 other printers (not one of these), so I already took advantage of the arrow.com deal by getting 3 3b+'s,which 1 was free.

If you buy this printer skip the ABS. Get some PLA. ABS is a PITA even on better printers.

Do you print to sell on ebay or is all the printers being used for your projects?

Projects. I don't sell anything online as I'm busy enough with local requests.

I own an ANET A8, Creality CR-10, Folgertech FT-5, and Geeetech Mecreator2. They're all pretty heavily modded or will be soon. Not that they didn't print well, but things like safety upgrades, quality of life improvements, and feature enhancements. They're as much fun to tinker with as they are to print with.

I don't print with ABS simply because of the carcinogenic organic Compounds that comes from printing with it.

If not I would have loved to print with ABS so that I could use Acetone to vapor smooth the prints.

I only print PLA and PETG.

I recently bought the micro swiss hot end upgrade for my MP Maker Select Plus (Wanhao Duplicator i3 Plus clone) so I could print PETG. The main reason was so I could print something stronger than PLA and would also be somewhat resistant to sunlight. The ABS I printed so far turned out with cracked layers and was somewhat functionally ok for the most part, but it's just not doing the job properly. An enclosure to keep the heat in would probably help. What I've been reading about PETG is it's easier and the heated bed doesn't have to be as hot.
