This isn't a deal. This usually goes for under $600 twice a year with free shipping.

Wait for $499 eBay deal
Routinely < $699
Often < $650
Rarely down to $500.

Depends on your "need". Are you planning a construction that REQUIRES a generator on site? get one (or another brand for the same price) soon. Are you planning on needing one for the next blizzard? wait for a lower price.

Pretty decent units, I bought one years ago.

How is the THD on this generator? Is it safe for sensitive electronics like tvs and such?

You typically want an (semi-expensive) Inverter-type generator for running electronics, based on what little I've read.

Frankly, electronics should be pretty far down the list of things you power in an emergency - protecting food storage, climate control (AC/Heat) and maybe a sump pump would be higher on the list..for me at least.

Bought this last year for $600. Havn't had a power outage since. Was testing it a few months ago and my propane hose was nicked. They replaced it for free just paid shipping.
