LOL! ~1TB SSD for under 100$ you wouldn't have a chance to risk it. It'd be out of stock before you can think about risking it.

So after some quick online research. It seems the SU650 is older gen, and has mixed reliability reviews from multiple online retail sites. The latest gen is SU900, which the 1TB of that version is near $300 and is praise for huge improvement in reliability. So I'll pass on this one. If it was under $100, I would risk it.

The 1TB SU800 is only $160. [rakuten.com] (code AD28) Definitely worth paying a little more! You'll also earn $16 in Rakuten cash.

Update: Picked one up. Tax free, free shipping, $16 in Rakuten cash and I found a cashback site offering 4% on electronics (+ the 2.5% on my CC). Outside of price mistakes, the odd clearance and refurb units, I think it's going to take a while to beat this capacity at this price.

Update 2: The coupon has expired and the SU800 is now $200 + 49.75 in rewards. Figures this comment and thread I posted for this deal were basically ignored until now when the sale has already expired.

Is this a good drive or should we expect it to fail after a few months? Seems priced very low.

Why not? Its ADATA, not Samsung EVO
