If you're going to do any sort of drywall work, replacement or new build, this tool is invaluable.

I just bought 2 of these the other day because they're cheaper than the replacment blades that go in them. Using one right now to stop a door from sticking.

Thanks, Op. Currently same price at Walmart, so one probably price matched the other.
$9-ish at Lowes and Home Depot.

Surprised this isn't an add-on item at this price. In for one!

installing a closet door...door 1/8 inch too wide...would this tool be useful or should I go with a plane?

Ordered. Just making sure: this works on wood as well as drywall, right?

Great deal! have a few doors in my house that are sticking and this will do the trick to shave a little off of the tops to get them fixed up. Thanks OP!

It might work but a larger plane would do a much better and easier job.

I would personally use a normal blade plane. This would technically work, but you may need to use some sandpaper to get a smoother finish at the end.
