So I finally bit on the Trizor 15 the other day, after my research indicated that 15 degrees is generally preferred to 20. Before that, I had been debating the 1520 for the ability to do both, but the 1520 never went on sale. Anyone have thoughts on which is better? I could return the Trizor.

And I'll note the Chef's Choice website says the 1520 has a 3-year warranty, Woot says 1.

If you don't need a 20° edge, I wouldn't sweat it. From my understanding cheaper knives won't hold a 15° edge.
The 1 year warranty links to the Model 270 so I think they got that wrong and the 1520 is in fact a 3 year warranty.
I snagged the 1520 even though I've been thinking of going the whetstone route but I'm no master chef and not inclined to learn the sharpening technique. I do use my knives daily and this comes at the right time as honing isn't cutting it any longer.
