Not sure why the downvote for this. Seems like a good deal for this particular drill. I bought a version of it back in 2014, LDX220SBFCR [amazon.com], and have been very happy with it. I paid about $54 on Amazon which was after $25 in promotions. My version came with a fast charger while the OP one does not seem to (it's just the LDX220C), but the OP one seems to be rated 100rpm faster than my old one. I think it's well worth the $40 for a drill that can go 800-1500 rpm. The screwdriver seems like a fair deal, too, though I think I'd be more annoyed by the light fixture than helped by it.

Ah, I see the OP posted pictures of the version I got but links to the LDX220C. It's a little misleading.

Do not buy this junk! Black & Pecker make the worst batteries and their tools break easily over time. I would rather buy the Aldi 20v Workzone Drill https://www.aldi.us/en/weekly-spe...river-kit/ before trusting this.
I disagree. I've been happy with my version of this drill. I'm no power user, but it's been perfectly capable of handling all my jobs around the house. Maybe folks who use drills like it;s their job would want/need something more substantially rugged, but those will cost 100%-400% more than this.

I'd agree. I have the single speed B&D drill and driver and they've been great for household projects and other small projects over the last year and half. I'd actually been thinking about getting this recently, so it was great timing.

I got the drill/driver 24 speed in January for $20 been using it for a while now. Batteries only need charging every few projects. I use it with a 3/8 socket adaptor as a wrench for car work and it's great. Doesn't do lugs unless loosened first. But saves me time.

Sure, it's not Milwaukee quality, but it's fine for most homeowners. I remodeled an entire house and built a deck using this drill and battery. Zero issues.

I have several of these. They work fine, I bought the first one or two at $40, the rest for cheaper. Looking back, I would not recommend. I would suggest a Ryobi multi piece set if you are on a budget, or hold out and get a Dewalt, Milwaukee or Rigid set depending on your budget. Tools for a homeowner will probably last a lifetime, eventually you will want to upgrade as I did (and I'm just 25 with my first house).

I have about 8x 20V batteries and I use Black and Decker's 40V system as well (3x of those batteries). All have held up fine and it's been about 4x years of moderate use.

I don't doubt that some users will have a bad experience, but you can't generalize because of one or two issues.

I had their 20v system and the batteries all failed within 2 years. The tools weren't the drill but all were poor quality and i wasted hundreds of dollars so it is a bad taste. I'm not saying go get dewalt or Milwaukee, but was just pointing out the Aldi drill at the same price.

They are probably made by same factory.

Disagree. Been a loyal B&D user for 20+ years. Only recently switched to Dewalt becuase of some bigger jobs I'm working, but B&D for home use on our house refurbishments over the years have been great!

now, pricier brands are much better, but for what you pay, you cant beat B&D.
