Is it a good option over x900e 65 inch given the $500 difference in price now?

Here is hoping. I would go for the 75" version of the 900e as soon as it is sub $2k.

Yes, depending on which model it is. But if I'm not mistaken, this model has 100% full HDR10 playback compatibility. Because of it's true 10-Bit color panel, with WCG, as well should the TCL. However, black levels in this model leave much to be desired. Since it has just an edge-lit backlight.

Their 65X930E/940E would'be far more preferable, due to one of them having a Full Array Backlight, in combination with a Triluminos display for better color enhancements. Although this model has those same color enhancements, just not the superior black levels to go with it.

It'd be tough, but I'd always go with the Full Array Backlight/Quantum Dot combination. Over a Full Array Backlight/Triluminos display combonation. Which if I'm not mistaken, the TCL 6-Series has right? As well as the Android TV based Smart TV OS.

Great info, thanks. Seems that the TCL is an excellent deal for the price. Those Sonys are much more expensive.

I have the exact same question since I'm still within the return period for my TCL.

Where do you even find the 75" x900e anymore? I can't find it anywhere. Been waiting for it for some time now. But it just vanished from Best Buy, B&H, etc.

They have 930e online for 1200. Take that to Best Buy or wherever someone price matches.

The Sony X930E is an edge lit TV and a much better TV than the TCL
The color , brightness and picture processing are on another level with Sony's X1 extreme picture processing chip

IF you can find either the X930 or X940 left over at your local Best Buy the X930 will be close to the price of the TV in this thread. It was for me
Both have been removed from the Best Buy website so you would need to have a BB employee run a internal sku check in your area....much easier if you can tell them the sku numbers to search for
