Sears has Craftsman 320-Piece Mechanic's Tool Set for $139.99, it is 53% down from its regular price. After $10 off $100 coupon, it is $129.99.

You will also get $50 points for this promotion: Spend $125 and get $50 CASHBACK in points on tools. Limit one time per Shopyourway member. Typically points will be added to your Shopyourway account the next day of shipment/pickup and points will be good for 30 days.

$50 back on $125 is stackable with coupon/Freecash offers, but total price after coupon/freecash cannot be less than $125. Nearly every account has a $10 off $100 coupon right now, so please check your sears account, it is in "Your clipped coupon" section, check your Shopyourway account for freecash offer, too. If you have freecash offer like $20 off $75, you will have to find a filler to meet the $125 requirement.

Online Only Price and shipping is free. If you order online and opt for in-store pickup, you will get another 5% ($6.5) back in points within 24 hours. I ordered a ~$50 item last week and I got $2.4 worth points already. Excerpted from my Shopyourway account:
"Jun 01, 2018 Bonus points - MAX Members get 5% CASHBACK in points with your FREE Sears store pickup on ONLINE purchases. Points awarded the next day and valid for 90 days. Limit 50,000 points per member.
- Points (2,476) were added on Jun 02, 2018
"

Fine print of the $50 cashback promotion:
Spend $125 and get $50 CASHBACK in points on tools. Items sold by Sears. (so it doesn't include 3rd party sellers aka Sears Marketplace). Members get $50 CASHBACK in points when you spend $125 or more on a qualifying tools, including hand tools, power tools, tool storage, garage door openers and electrician tools at select Sears stores. Maximum $100 in points per member. Points credit to account 24 hours after transaction. Points valid 30 days. IN-STORE and ONLINE. Points awarded next day and expire 7 days from receipt. Limit 1 time per member. Valid through June 17, 2018 11:59 PM CST. Points earned will be added to your Shop Your Way account and can be used on your next purchase. Only Shop Your Way members are eligible to earn or redeem points.

Yes it is a bit confusing here, I think the max $100 term doesn't mean you can get $100 for $250 out of pocket, probably Sears wants to limit usage of points back coupons, but coupons like 100% back in points are rarely-seen right now.

This is very common with these points back in order, i.e. they cap the points for an order. You just have to do multiple/separate orders (2 in this case) to get the max points allowed (2x$50).

The 270pc seems to be the better deal to me. I don't know if I really need any of it at this time, but the thought is it will help me out in the future rather than having waste half a day to go out to a store and spend $10 for a one time use part. Now the question is do I have any "need" for the $50 cashback?

yea i think the 270 piece set is def the better option here. less bloat, more wrenches...

trying to justify even though i have an 11 year old craftsman set w about 94% of pieces left...

I got the 270 last time it on sale, pretty decent and seemed a much better deal than the 320 piece. Box really irritating though, drawers suck. They are really loose and jam up. Put it all in a 20 year old metal Sears toolbox.

I don't understand the snobbery. I pawned my guitar and coin collection when sears started doing these plastic tool box socket sets. I bought mine for $200, and it came with 0 wrenches. Mine didnt have the top storage, but it did have another drawer that you could throw extra stuff in. This was around 2001, and I thought it was a limited time thing, wrong. Even so, my set has done me well, and I have never regretted it. This is not a do everything box. Think of this as a socket set, and everything else is a fringe benefit. The bigger set comes with 5 more sockets so I would go with it. I bought my father one years later, and the only issue he had was the smallest ratchet broke. This is a stellar deal for someone trying to start a socket set!

The best thing about plastic is that it doesnt rust.

I had $40 in freecash on $200 so I went with the 270 piece set and also got a 32 piece GearWrench ratcheting wrench set. Total came to $183.54 and I got back $51.70 in points and 6 swagbucks per dollar cashback.

Thanks OP!
