The 64GB of ram is nice but that GTX 1060 is pretty bad for this price, i'd expect a 1070Ti or 1080 at this price-range.

Not a slickdeal at all, their main selling point is the ram and not the graphics card.

Are deals for desktops only valid for the best graphics cards? Are there no other use cases?

No reason to spend that much, you could buy a computer with 32gb of ram with lower cas latency and higher frequency than this, for the price they could cut the ram to 32gbs and at minimum thrown in a 1070 or 1080.

Um. Its not about case uses or video card, its about value to dollar. I can buy a cheaper 1060 computer and add ram and hds and still come out cheaper than this deal...

This is actually one of the worst deals ever on slickdeals, and I hope you didnt purchase this, if you did hopefully you can return it.

I didn't even know Costco had deals this bad. If anyone purchased this, they may do well to take advantage of their excellent return policy.

Put it this way if it only had 8gb of ram would you pay 1,000 dollars for this desktop?

64GB of overpriced RAM isn't a common configuration people look for.
