yup, and you can buy the Bob Crites cross overs, woofers, tweeters upgrades the first time saving quite a bundle.. These are quite popular for folks who want to recreate that Maxell tape add where the guy is sitting in his Barco lounger with his hair blowing straight back.. I think these are about 104db at 1 watt, hence a tube amp should work quite well.. These are about 3 foot x 2 foot x 3 foot and are about 100 pounds ea..

I built the LARGER Klipshorns version (uses the same drivers) in 1988.. No one can believe how load they get.. The laws of phisics have not changed since the late 40's, so that is why little has changed with the tried and true designs.. It is a investment of a lifetime if you like the wide dynamic range these afford.
