FYI - if anybody had a bad history with Chase, you will be denied for the card, even this is a prepaid card.

I love Starbucks products but I would have to load and spend $1,250 to rack up enough stars for one free item...

This is a really lousy card. Gold status is probably the only upside. Otherwise it's just a 0.4% reward debit card. And if you want to earn the normal 2 stars per spend at Starbucks you'll still need to use it to load your regular Starbucks card.

On the other hand though, it is better than nothing, and it's free (more or less). Probably doesn't hurt to have one for the very occasional debit card purchase.

No annual fee. It is better than credit card.

Since this is a prepaid card, you can't even use the card if you don't load it up first. This is like a gift card. I don't think they even checks your credit score on this kind of cards. It's just a little odd why they even ask you for your SSN.

1 star for every $10 spent? I'll just stick to my Starbucks app and get 2 stars for every $1 spent.

I just got the pre-paid card. It was quick. I don't believe they pulled any credit. I didn't have fill out anything because I have the Chase accounts. The Starbucks pre-paid immediately showed up on my Chase wallet apps.

It was easy since I already have Chase, but it told me the amt to transfer had to be $25 or more.
