From the thumbnail picture, the tripod looks to be around 6 to 8 feet tall. :-)

You have no idea how useful these pods are, especially when you're trying to take a pic of an elk with a long lens.

Not trying to be a smart aleck, but what makes this a good deal? It seems that several sites have this same price.

Edited to add: Nevermind. I see that it comes with the backpack. I was thinking I saw one earlier at this price just for the tripod.

Awesome price. Paid 80 bucks last month on the tripod in the same store.

Nice deal. I'm going to hold out for a good deal on the 5k version.

This is a great deal. Be aware that the 3K version of the gorilla pod holds 3KG of weight (about 6 pounds) so if you have heavy glass this may not be the right choice for you. I like to do long exposures of the night sky so I may hold out yet for a 5k to prevent any sagging.

Flipside bag is really well made.

I had the 300, not the 200, but it fit a lot in there when you adjust the pads around and it's not bulky when you carry it around either.

The best part is that the zipper to open is on the inside which deters theft and accidental spillage.

Also if you use the waist strap, you can spin it around and position it horizontal where it acts as a table for you to switch out your lenses or get other gear without having to fumble around.

Anyone use these to secure a camera to a regular wired fence for video? Wondering how much sagging for 30 minutes... For a regular camera
