I got the 5510SE California Air Tools compressor for $120 open box from Amazon. It's SCFM is unfortunately not that high compared to modern air compressors and its refill time is slower but it's sooo much more quiet, you can even use it in an apartment.

Also, California Air Tools is 100% Chinese manufactured and engineered but the labels used around the world (ie Europe has different brands but same exact thing) all have very good reviews.

But if noise isn't an issue for you, perhaps this one is better because it does pack a much bigger punch SCFM / PSI wise thus you can use bigger nailers with it.

Drain the tank after use. It's oil-free so nothing to change. Quite loud. My contractor uses an older version of this compressor and frames houses with it.
