Breville Dual Boiler Espresso Machine - BES920XL - $999 at Costco!

I never saw this sold at Costco before, but $999 is a great deal for this machine if you're in the market for a dual boiler espresso machine. I've been using this model for a few years, and while it makes great espresso, I highly recommend buying it at BBB or here at Costco with their lifetime exchange policy as Breville machines are not known for their longevity.

It's been this price for a while now; oddly enough, I bought one this morning. Better than Bed Bath and Beyond's price with the 20% off coupon.

Nonetheless, thanks OP! This is a great deal.

Has anyone seen this in-store?

Edit: I just contacted Costco via chat and they said it online only.

the deal is that it is sold by Costco.

breville espresso machine has somewhat higher failure rate (especially with the water pump) after few year of usage. they make wonderful machines but doesn't seem to last.

personally it would be a better deal if costco sells their oracle line.

So while I'm long-time Costco member, I guess I'm new to their long-term return policy. I've seen mixed messages about it, and Costco doesn't make it very clear. Are you saying that if I purchase the machine from Costco, use it for 3 years, and then it fails, that it would be reasonable to expect that I could return it to Costco for exchange or refund?

Yes. Costco has one of the best warranty. There are exceptions like computer and TVs , but things like this carries Life Time satisfaction guarantee.

Assuming it comes back in stock, I'd say get it but beware. I'm on my 2nd in 2 years. Once it said it needed descaling, performance greatly decreased. Attempted the descaling process but it would never complete. The process caused the pump to fail. Never should have needed descaling after such a short time as our water is soft and always filtered.

I'll keep using it until they won't let me return it at BBB. But after that I'll probably buy a serious machine like La Marzocco Linea Mini or Profitec Pro 700.
