Never bought recertified drives before. Are they safe/reliable?

Is this a good price for the 6tb ? I see this goes on sale regularly at this price for the refurb.

What hard drive is placed in this , red? blue white green ? Any one know?

the only thing you should't buy used/refurbished for computers is storage. possible loss is way bigger than any discount

buy only if you know what you're doing (raid or you're the master of backups)

I misread the price for 1TB WiFi drive as $30 and got all excited

I recently learned that it supports sunning a Plex server on it ...that would be some bargain price for a standalone plex media server device Smilie

Being able to "run" plex isn't the same as transcoding normal HD content without issue. Similar to how people get mad when they find out their crappy NAS can't transcode 1080P+ content without framedrops.

A used(?) drive and 6 month warranty and barely cheaper per byte than the 8TB deals that just went by (brand-new and 3-year warranty). No thanks.
