The Transit Pro is a high-resolution USB/DSD (Direct Stream Digital) converter and features eight user-selectable sampling rates between 44.1 and 384kHz. It has a built-in headphone amplifier with both ¼-inch and 1/8-inch jacks, for connecting any headphones directly without the need for an adapter. The Transit Pro is a USB-bus-powered or you can use an optional AC wall adapter (not included).

How would this compare to modern onboard sound card for PC gaming?
Specifically the Realtek ALC1150 - 115dB SNR that is onboard with my Gigabyte X99 Ultimate Gaming.

I purchased the Sennheiser HD6xx from the massdrop that are due to ship in a month or so.

I will need an amp and DAC at some point. How does this little guy compare to the Schiit stack I've heard a lot about?

worthy upgrade from a Fiio e10k? I have the Beyerdynamic DT990 250ohms and Audiotechnica AD900X. I use both for gaming and occasional music listening

doubt anyone that really knows the difference is on these forums, I've seen this question asked countless times.

I personally ended up buying the Schiit stack since it's apparently highly rated for entry level, I basically spent as much on my DAC/Amp combo as the headphones... and that was "cheap" :x

Smaller and uglier for sure, albeit portable.

If it needs an AC charger sold separately, how lame is that.

I love usb DAC/AMP deals, but not getting excited about this, not to mention the lack of reviews out there.

I bought the ASUS Impressario deal at $169, much better looking desktop DAC/AMP and a bonus Blu-ray burner to boot.

I'm kinda into this shit but I got this Bluetooth dac very expensive but works great since I also have the LG v20 which has a dac built in and also has atx Bluetooth so sounds nicer than vinyls. I have a decent record collection as well. If your looking for cheap, good, and sturdy stuff get into vintage audio

Because we're all looking for looks... So much more important than sound

So does this unit 'sound' better than the Asus or are you just trolling?
