I've been happy with mine. Cools an old, hot, overclocked xeon at 125w tdp. Changed out the stock fans for some corsairs though so take it with a grain of salt I guess.

It cools my 8700k pretty well, but it can't handle the 8700k overclocked @5ghz or higher.

Can you hear the pump? Loud music listeners need not apply

The pump can be heard, but at an acceptable level. Overall, it's a decent cpu cooler. The only feature I don't like is the plastic tubes, very flimsy, stiff feeling and hard to twist.

Seriously? That's disappointing. I have my 8700k @ 5.2 stable on a Noctua air cooler rofl

Got this on mine @ 5.3 @ 1.35v and cools fine. At first it didnt and thermal paste brand and application made all the difference. Used the arctic stuff everyone raves about and tightened down the screws a lot more the second time. I also had to play with inlet and output fan config a little but once done right stays under 80 with stress test, under 70 with any real world stress like transcodes or vr gaming.

That said, this is only effective if your case can truly vent the radiator, I dont mean if it has a space for it, but a space with open venting on top or side. Many cases have a space in the front of the case, but then you put a cover plate on the front that prevents 80+% of the air exhaust flow. I've never understood that case design.

Correct. It's a virtually free mod that anyone can do in an hour's time. Did it last week and it's incredible.
