This weekend sale begins on June 15th but I'm not sure on which time zone so check it periodically.

Star Alliance's Air China, flag carrier and one of China's major airlines headquartered in Beijing, is having a Father's Day Sale this weekend where round trip airfares from several US cities to Asia are $499 USD. There's also a 144 hour visa-free transit so if you have a layover.....! There are only a limited number of tickets allotted so act fast once sale begins on June 15.

Air China's website have a nice fare calendar that's easy to use. I cannot come up with specific dates or a screen shot of the $499 because this hasn't started yet. Once you get your dates, you have the option of using your available $499 travel dates and book it with a favorite OTA such as Expedia [expedia.com], Priceline [priceline.com], Orbitz [orbitz.com], etc.. Bundling hotel with airfare will save money.

144 hours = 6 days. So have to book from US to for example HKG in order to stay in Beijing for 6 days?

Flew Air China last month. No bad. Worth the price. Visa free process is very easy IF you go from Beijing to another city before returning to the Us.
