Same. My current dell's touchpad has really caused me a lot of issues and the touchscreen saved me from countless restarts. I hear the 7000 series is better built though. Very tempting indeed.

My HP ENVY 13.3" refurbished deal from adorama was 4K, 16GB ddr3 Frown, 512GB Intel NVme and lighter. But $800 felt slightly pricey for refurbished and personally 4K 13.3" is small.

4K 15" would be nice. For i7 6-cores and getting new, YES it is a good deal.
8GB ram is plenty for most of us. SSD hitting 256GB@$50s and 512GB@$80s, you are going to replace the HDD with SSD anyway. Not that hard to create USB bootable provided by Win or by clonezilla.
