Hmm... wonder if Amazon is dumping the Show. When Amazon was clearing out the Original Echo (v1) they started showing up on HSN with discounts. So perhaps EOL for the Show? Not sure it really caught on and Google giving Amazon the finger by preventing the Show from accessing YouTube vid's didn't help.

debating is i should buy one for my elderly parents. So i can check up on them. Sometimes they don't pick up their phones at home and hopefully this will put me at ease to make sure they're ok

I have multiples of the Echo products including Dots, Echoes and Shows and my Shows get (by far) the most use thanks mainly to the mini-screen. Don't want to get into a debate as to the positives and negatives of each, however, for yours trulies applications, the Show more often than not hit the sweet spot.

That said, however, it did take some considerable familiarization which I dare say many thumbs downers have not done. Just a guess .....

Btw, helluva deal if anyone's on the fence ;-)
