This TV was just released a short while ago - purchased it at Best Buy brand new, and I'm absolutely loving it. Without upgrading to LG's OLED line, this is the best TV I've personally come across. Originally priced at $1299, which is what I purchased it at but I'll be using PP to get down to this price.

Screen Size: 64.5 inches
Display Type: LED
Smart Platform: Chromecast (with SmartCast OS - Netflix, Youtube, and other apps pre-loaded)
High Dynamic Range (HDR): HDR10, DolbyVision, HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma)
Refresh Rate: 120Hz (Panel), 240Hz Effective
Number of HDMI Inputs: 5
Resolution: 3840x2160 (4K)
Specific Manufacturer Technologies: Spatial Scaling Engine, VM50 Engine, Ultra Color Spectrum
Backlight: LED (FALD - 100 zones)
Dimensions - with stand (HxWxD): 35.1"x57"x11.8"
Dimensions - without stand (HxWxD): 32.7"x57"x2.7"
Weight (with stand / without stand): 55.1/54.3 lbs
Ports: 1 Optical, 1 USB, 1 Component, 1 Composite, 1 Analog Audio (3.5mm), TV Tuner, Ethernet
HDMI ARC: Yes

Beat the M series by 0.1 but it's more expensive than the M series. Your TCL doesnt even match the 2017 vizio p series what makes you think it will match the 2018?

$100 off for a brand new tv isn't bad. Costco has the 2017 version for $200 less as well ($999).

Currently deciding if the 2018 is worth $200...

I went to Best buy yesterday to see this tv. Colors are amazing but there is a huge problem with handling motion on this tv.on the video that they had running on it by Vizio, there is a huge motion blur problem. The scene with water drops everywhere, when the water drops are everywhere on the screen the whole background of the drops are blurry and completely distorted. And no it's not how the picture was shot it's the processor not being able to handle too many little movements on the screen at the same time. I don't know if I explained it right or not but go see the tv for yourself and when it gets to that part of the video just look at the sides of the screen where there are water everywhere. I really was hoping that this tv was going to be a good one and I was gonna buy the 75 inch version but now I don't know anymore...

Do you need a tuner? If not, the 2017 probably is fine. It has more dimming zones as well.

I wanted to check out the quantum one, but haven't been able to see any info on it outside of what Vizio's released. At that price point though, I would rather opt for an OLED.

For the record though, this TV is ultra bright - the first time I turned it on I had the lights dimmed and the setup screen practically blinded me. I can't imagine what the Quantum will be capable of with it's 2000 nits brightness.

How are they selling this, if when you go to the actual vizio website the 55 and 75 are the only ones available from the P series 2018

Heard this one had an edge light issue specifically in the corners. I snagged a refurbished 2016 P65-C1 for $899 and bought a 4 year warranty for $100 and couldn't be happier. I also got Walmart to knock off 5% for delivering it a couple days late and used 5% off chase pay too so the deal ended up being extra slick.

Not sure on that, but I picked mine up about 2 or 3 weeks ago from Best buy and it was a P65-f1, UI confirms that.
