For a limited time, qualifying AT&T customers can get $250 back via prepaid card just for ditching AT&T for T-Mobile.

Offer terms seem pretty limited, but may be worth checking if other AT&T plans
may in fact qualify once the promo goes live on the 20th.

The Fine Print:

Limited time offer; subject to change. Qualifying credit, service, and port-in of AT&T line
with "Data Unlimited for iPhone on 4G LTE with VVM" feature required. Verify qualifying
plan within 30 days of port-in. Rebate via Prepaid MasterCard® Card. This Card is issued
by Sunrise Banks N.A., Member FDIC, pursuant to a license from Mastercard International
Incorporated. Mastercard is a registered trademark of Mastercard International
Incorporated. Use of this card constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions stated in
the Cardholder Agreement. Cards will not have cash access and can be used everywhere
Mastercard debit cards are accepted. Must be active and in good standing when card is
processed. Allow 8 weeks.

FYI, "Data Unlimited for iPhone on 4G LTE with VVM" is quite a grandfathered unlimited plan.

This is because ATT raised their "grandfathered" plan with $5.

Does TMobile have a promo like this for Sprint, for leaving Sprint?

really old and a lot of people converted years ago when they had a big promo around iphone 6 time - I have data rollover on ATT which I believe is pretty old too...

it's kind of a strange requirement, eh?

only left T-Mobile as moved and service was not as good as ATT - it's been fine now for years so would go back to T, need to sort out which one is less for a one liner

bill is always $50/month w/ATT (own phone but time for new one)

Works for me! I have the old old old grandfathered unlimited plan from ATT that I've had on hold while I live outside the US. Moving back in a month and will finally switch over to t-mobile. Thanks!

Right. When I heard about this offer, I figured those who have stuck with this particular plan must have had a very good reason(s) to 1) not have switched to a current AT&T plan, and 2) not have switched away from AT&T altogether.

no, at quick glance + must use auto pay:

it's $70/a month for one line

military + families cost is $55 for one line

over 55+ is $50 for one line

then the $250 could be potentially gained or some amount if you call ATT retention's and say you may leave...are you on ATT? I just assumed...

what discounts do you have for $44? are you on a limited data plan?

Hoping this is still around when the S10 comes out. Just itching to get rid of ATT, but I don't want the S9.
