I've always thought about getting a interface for recording my guitar. The 2i2 price looks good but is there better options that anyone can chime in with?

Nice! Anyone bundle this with a balanced headset/microphone for twitch streaming? I'm using a HD650 with USB Blue Microphone.

Those are more than adequate for twitch. Or really any broadcasting use case. Also, you wouldn't need this with a USB mic unless you're looking for low latency on the audio output

I heard these measure 23 millisecond delay on audio. I was curious if they have something for balanced XLR mic.

If you want a more budget option the Behringer UMC202HD works great. Not on sale, but still a fraction of the price. http://a.co/ctHkLqi

I've been using a couple of Alesis IO sled docks to record to my ipad. I've never used Focusrite so I can't compare any quality differences. The advantage of a sled dock is everything fits nicely on a music stand, that's nice in tight quarters. The disadvantage, if this matters, is you can only record to an ipad or iphone.

I think the Alesis sled docks are discontinued, but still available on ebay and maybe a few online stores that still have inventory. Again I can't say that this is better for you or not, just a different option.

I am a complete amateur on audio interfaces, but the safe bet for recording a guitar from these would be the 2i4 since it has the option to pad the inputs. Depending on how hot your pickups are on the guitar, you may get some clipping without the pads on the 2i2.

Personally after doing a few weeks of research i went with the behringer umc404hd. I would have got the umc202hd, but the 404 was only $20 more at the time of my purchase. I know behringer has had a bad rep in the past for quality control, but these audio interfaces are amazing at the price point they are at. Someone who is more familiar with these types of things may come in saying the focusrite is better, but nearly all the comparisons I have read basically said the u-phoria line from behringer is the best bang for the buck.

Anyone know the output impedance of these? I can never seems to find things with 4 ohms or less, and higher amounts change the frequency response on my 16 ohm earphones.
