Earlier FP deal on Amazon died when Amazon put price to $31 and change, Walmart still has at $19.93 but you need to spend $35 for free shipping.

This is expensive but really an awesome deal for pure vanilla extract these days.

Anyone needing to buy this large amount to make chocolate chip cookies, let me know and I will volunteer to be your free taste tester.

Also, it is good practice to put the name of the retailer in the subject title.

That's the real reason prices have skyrocketed....

Seriously though, it tastes disgusting (for lack of a better word) straight, pretty much undrinkable

But then again, kids were putting Tide pods in their mouths, so who knows?

That is a whole lot of vanilla. I've been rocking the same tiny bottle for like a decade.

We got the Costco bottle as well.... will be set for life basically. Hopefully it doesn't go bad because I honestly can't see us using it all in less than ten years.

At 41% alcohol it's rather interesting that one can buy this without ID.

Unless you are making Creme Brulee or Vanilla ice cream there is utterly no reason to use pure vanilla extract over imitation. You cannot tell the difference. Professional bakers can't even tell a difference most of the time. When you are adding it to something like cookies or most cakes you are essentially burning money.

Bought the 16oz bottle prior to the cookie baking season last year and it was around $12 I think. Pulled it up on Amazon and when I bought it there a couple years ago it was $6.48. Serious inflation.

Surprised by the comments about this lasting forever, I go through a 16oz bottle in a few months.

Vanilla doesn't spoil.

The price of vanilla got so low, the farmers got rid of the plants. The price went up, so they replanted. Then bad weather affected the plants. Hopefully, prices might decrease next year.

If Costco ever sells this for less than $7 a bottle, it will be time to stock-up!
