Great drive. I got one the last time it came up and use it as a write cache for my Unraid array.

I can easily saturate my 10Gb network with a full 1 gigabyte per second across the network from a Samsung 960 evo.

No. They use a proprietary connector [beetstech.com], because of course they do.

Just purchased and the coupon worked. I used PayPal with a Chase credit card but did not receive an additional 5% off.

Chase Freedom has a 5% cashback using paypal this quarter.

@ OP, how does this stack up against something like the Samsung 970 for speeds and failure rate?

it's cashback via chase, not an instant rebate/coupon - it's chase's normal rotating 5% cash back categories as described here https://slickdeals.net/f/11360191-chase-freedom-q2-5-cashback-will-be-grocery-stores-chase-pay-paypal-activate-march-15

Would this work with that $349 Lenovo laptop that's on the front page? It comes with a 1TB 5400rpm HDD, but says it has one M.2 SSD slot that needs to be a particular type of M.2 SSD.

This is a really good price for 1TB on M.2 NVMe bus.

Question is, does anyone know who makes these for HP? I'm thinking Samsung since I've seen Samsung drivers on HP's website before, but just as a confirmation.

I have my system on this drive. Coming from a 7200rpm WD Black, it is crazy fast. No heat issues so far according to CrystalDiskInfo.
