"Costco has the 2017 55" P605 on sale in store for $499.99
Best Buy has the P607 with different remote for $599 comparatively. The remote doesn't seem worth the $100 difference and Costco warranty can't be beat.

Are you sure Costco has the P605? All I have seen is the S or C Models carried by Costco.

It's weird that the P605 is last years Model. So, it's basically last years Best Buy model. Someone in the AVS Forms said that Costco plans on selling the 2018 Model under TCL 613 but I have yet to see it at my Costco.

Just as a heads up, this model does not fully support HDMI-CEC. It works with the Power, Volume Up/Down, and Mute buttons on a soundbar, but lacks the 4-directionals, Ok, and Back button (in case you want to hook it up to a streaming box).

Not sure if ARC here works with Dolby Digital Plus receivers/soundbars (7.1 HiFi or Atmos setups) but it works like a charm on Dolby Digital (5.1 Surround).

I would say this was a repost, but for some reason the earlier post was marked expired. However, consider confirmation from multiple sources.

My TCL S405 works perfectly with Dolby Digital EX as a heads up.

That's good to know. How well does CEC work on the S series?

I don't know -- the only thing that I use it for is auto-off/on, auto source selection, and volume. I have a full receiver and I mainly use the control from the TV remote to the receiver, rather than vice versa.

That's what I meant. The TV remote can adjust the receiver's volume controls, source selection, and power. But for more complex devices, like a game console, or streaming box, it doesn't seem to allow menu navigation using the TV remote.
