That's a myth. Cell phones ring inside most microwaves. Microwave ovens in general aren't perfect faraday cages, not to mention most are tuned to 2.4GHz and cell signal is usually 800-1900MHz.

For unknown Chinese brand..... I would use cellphone to check microwave leakage just for safe...(put in ur cellphone and make a call...it should not ring)

Thanks OP. Listed as 'New Other' so either factory seconds, open box, cosmetic defects, etc. At that price though, worth it. Same model on Amazon is $55 new.
