ASUS always have better built quality … also from my past experience they have better cooling that other brands … screen is FULL HD

Adorama ebay had a $549 deal in April for the 256 SSD version?

I missed it and been waiting for a deal like that to return. Amazon had it for ~$600 at that time. It and Adorama have that version for ~$700 now. I guess we've got some trade war inflation going on?

This is a more robusto unit for that price.

Thanks!

After review I bought it!

That $549 ebay deal was for the i5, integrated graphics and the single 256 SSD version.

Also found a thread with +21 TU for a deal when amazon and egg had that one for ~$600.

Here I've been waiting for that thing to go from $683 back to $600. I figure with no tax, I'm getting close to the same price for the i7/Nvidea/SSD and HDD. Yeah, the SSD is smaller, but I figure that saves me worry about making an OS partition. With 1TB for all my storage needs, I can dedicate that SSD to just the OS and apps.

Also, I prefer this grey color over the lighter goldish tone these usually come in.

Don't really see a Slickdeals here. eBay has them around 600 price plus there's a coupon going around as well. Is this a 2-in-1?

ASUS would last longer for sure … but I doubt about Windows 10😜

Well it all depends on who the seller is on eBay…

I searched and saw none at $600. Adorama had the UA version with integrated graphics / No 940MX for $639 back in March.

These Asus 510s are confusing because of all the variants. But if someone says it's this $, or that $ elsewhere, or coupons, etc. How bout placing some links in your post ? Proof is in the linking.

Did you even try Amazon ? Just search "8550u Nvidia", even this laptop is 699 on there. Here's a HP pavilion for 679
https://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilio...ref=plSrch

Again this is not a slick deal, just normal pricing for laptops with the same specs. Btw this 940mx is weak, might as well save money and use integrated or better yet get a 8300h with a 1050 for 699.. if you need proof look it up.
