Been looking for a deal on this blower and since they added a 5.0Ah battery and charger, it's a pretty good price. The Bare Tool alone is already $128.00.

There's a newer Gen II version that is 120 mph vs this one which is 100 mph.

Remember that they've come out with a gen2. I've owned both and the new one has significant improvements. Still a good deal for this though. Also, the pic on HD shows it comes with the rapid charger, that can't be right??

Since I don't need the battery or charger, I can probably sell them for $80 locally which would bring the blower down to $75. Would you say the Gen2 is worth an extra $75? I wanted the Gen2 but did not want to spend that much on this tool.

I bought this deal, sold the trimmer and battery and got the blower for about $100. I'd say it's worth it for an extra $20-30, but not $75.

I have the high end Makita version. It rocks. But double 5A batteries still cut short around 15 minutes. I haven't seen anything come close to the Makita. Really interested in moving to Milwaukee if the new gen blowers and chainsaws prove great. Any idea if Milwaukee is upgrading all their tools or slowing rolling out? I use my electric chainsaw and blower all the time. More than my drills.

You can buy the Gen 2 on eBay for $109.99 with the current coupon code on the eBay front page.

Curious, why'd you sell the trimmer? Absolutely love mine and it's a frickin beast. Just mowed down an overgrown hill and at full blast it was cutting clear swaths just as fast as I could swing it.

Milwaukee seems to usually have a big marketing event in spring where they invite a bunch of industry pros/youtubers out and unveil/demo the new offerings. ...but I don't think they limit all their releases to just that one event. Frankly, I'm pretty damn happy with the Trimmer (see above) / Gen 2 Blower kit I bought for ~$285 about a month back. I can weedwack my full half acre property, mow (not battery), then blow off my porch/driveway/deck after and still have more than half the 9AH battery left.
As far as just the blower in general goes - it's extremely convenient. Zero hassle to just quickly blow off the deck before a swim. Don't expect it to replace a commercial backpack blower in terms of power or runtime though; I think the average runtime at constant full blast is something like 15-20 minutes.

Haha sold it cause I already have one Smilie For sure it's a beast, I love it. Can't wait to use it with a new 12.0 battery.

I bought this kit for the 5.0Ah battery to use with the weed trimmer (much better balance than the 9.0) and sold the blower for $90 and the charger for $40 since I already have the gen 2 blower
I also got 10% off during the recent ACME tool sale

Would this blower be strong enough to air dry a car after being washed? haha. I'm just trying to think of other applications.

Great minds think alike haha. I don't have a yard to maintain so besides blowing out my garage and two porches occasionally, this tool would spend most of it's time in storage collecting dust. Perhaps I need to buy two blowers. One to blow the dust off the other. I refuse to use a broom!

I have the Rapid Charger and the photo on HD doesn't look like it. There is writing on the top of mine that looks to be missing on the HD photo. I doubt if this deal is the rapid charger.
