Mirroring video to multiple android tablets

777 238 June 21, 2018 at 12:44 PM
Here is what I am looking for:

I have a 3 row SUV, I want to have 1 tablet in the back row, 1 in the middle row. Is there any way possible to have play/stream a video from my phone and have it play on both tablets at the same time and have the audio play through the car speakers too?

I would get a USB to HDMI cable and then connect that HDMI to a splitter and route the output of the splitter to the different screens.

There are several apps that will allow one tablet to mirror the screen (screenshare) of the other.

I don't have any personal experience with any (sorry.)

While it might work I have to think this would be a huge pain to the user. So get the kids strapped in start the car. Wait for the router to boot and for devices to connect. Assume devices have been charged from the last use. Take phone, start stream (Source?) Unlock tablets, start said app to receive streams. Assume this all keeps working despite driving 75mph through interference and everything else thats out there. Also good to mention tablets like this are never great to leave in the heat, the batteries tend to swell in the heat.

Perhaps they have at least one child that is old enough to use a tablet. That child could easily start the movie so the younger one could watch the same thing (while having separation so they don't touch each other.)

Honestly, for the amount of effort involved, would be best to just get each kid an Amazon Fire tablet. They're usually on sale for $40.

Most recent reason why everyone should be armed at all times:
Charlotte, NC school shooting. 2 killed 4 wounded. April 2019
This was a gun free zone. The shooter didn't care. Gun free zones only hurt honest citizens. If someone was armed there could've been 1 less death.
