The projectors are so tempting but I need to rearrange my living room to accommodate one. Still on the fence but I'm glad they're coming down in price for a good 1080p one! Thanks op

BenQ is a good company. No hassle with returns, exchanges. They pay shipping both ways. I ordered two refurb monitors from them a while back. One had a dead pixel near the middle and color was a bit off. They exchanged it quickly for what looked to be a new monitor (new packaging, etc).

Bought a referb projector from benq and he bulb only had like 30hrs on it so it was practically new. Over 6000hrs on it so far and no issues. Swapped in a new bulb after a year for only ~$86 off amazon and its back to being super bright.

Got my HT2050 factory refurbished last year through them and it's been great. Had just a few hours on the bulb when I got it, so basically brand new bulb. Mine was $550 shipped, their customer support is also TOP notch. Very pleasant company to deal with

Cant wait for the HT2550 and TK800 to start to hit these refurb deals.

HT8050 looks like a great deal at only $2400 becaus eit was $8000 new, but it was way way way overpriced from the start. Doesn't support a wide color gamut or HDR unofruntately. Also, the blacks arent competitive even at that $2400 price point because you're getting into things like Epson 5040ub and even some JVCs on deals can be had around there.

I'm looking for a 2k gaming monitor with at least 144hz refresh. Now, I may be ignorant of how to translate some of the spec listings, but it's infuriating to me that some monitors list their refresh while others do not.

I'm assuming the 27 inch IPS wqhd monitor here is not anything above 100hz.

Their customer service is top notch, highly recommend. If you buy and have any issues, they pay return shipping and ship out the replacement very fast. Sometimes if the replacement has issues again, they just send you a new one. Very happy with my purchase from them

Seemingly almost everyone who buys a refurb BenQ projector gets a practically new bulb. I've only heard a few instances of anyone getting bulbs with more than 20 hours on them. Most are in the single digits (just as mine was). It's amazing how all of their refurbs have so little usage on them. When I suggested they may just be resetting the lamp hours in the menu (which anyone can do), people told me BenQ would never do that, so it's a statistic I can't explain.

How is your ambient light situation? I've heard great things about them when used in a dedicated theater room where you can have a dark room all the time. I'm planning to use mine in open space living room where I have control on the light but kitchen lights will seep into the room when they're on. Wondering if i should just go with the th671 since it has a little more horsepower on that end.
