Save your money and get a LG or Samsung on clearance at Walmart for $299-$349. Some stores still have stock, and they will be clearancing again in the fall. Hisense is ghetto crap, and $449 is not a great price for ghetto crap.
Idk, this model is pretty good.
Honestly I can't tell the difference between my 1200 dollar Vizio...and the sound is actually better.
I got the 65 inch for 300 a few weeks ago

You clearly have never used a hisense tv, they are on par with low end Samsung TVs. I have two in my home one of which is 4K but both have great picture and great sound and without a sound bar. They are a bit flimsy/cheap when setting up so you need to be careful but after it's set up they work fine. TVs these days are not the same quality they were 5-10 years ago though so I do suggest a 3-4 year warranty if you don't want/plan to buy another sooner than later. My 4K hisense tv replaced a $1200 LG 3D tv that was having the backlight burn out, not only is the picture better but my hisense was way cheaper. My only complaint is my LG sound bar doesn't seem to work with the hisense tv, but the sound on the speakers is above average to great so I don't need it just wanted the sound bar. The 55 for $300 was a better deal but this is good for those that missed it.

Hisense is Chinese brand owned by a Chinese State-Owned enterprise. Don't know anything about TV's quality etc. Just wanted to let you know where it was made.

Wasn't there a $300 Walmart Hisense 55" HDR 4k Smart TV ? My knowledge level does not allow to compare these two deals very well, and I see there is item number different. This being a 55H9D and so I don't know what the H9D signifies but I feel like generic 4k 55" should be around $300-350 for a good deal. anyone got a insight into why this is worth $100 or more over that?

Of course, comparing Hisense to Vizio will yield similar results. They're both B/C level sets.

Except that they're disposable and have limited parts availability outside warranty, just like Vizio, TCL and other crap brands. You get what you pay for.

My POINT is that you can get the brand name AND a better price by getting an LG or Samsung on walmart TV clearance now or in the fall. No reason to overpay for a crap Hisense.
That's what extended warranty is for, if it does break you get a replacement or your money back. Hunting for clearance deals required time and luck for saving not much over this price. My 4K hisense destroys the picture quality that my LG tv had and my LG tv cost almost 4x more. Hisense is far from crap, no it's not the best tv on the market, but for a budget tv it's a great tv and once you actually own and use one it's easy to see that, since I have 2 different models in my house I think I can speak more on quality of hisense TVs than most if not all the people in here. Anybody on a budget should consider hisense if you like the specs/price etc, just get an extended warranty just in case.

There was, from what I can see this is edge lit and that other one wasn't, also this has 1 more HDMI port and a wireless tuner it looks like. Other than that they are very similar in specs, the $300 deal was a sale price that same tv was normally selling around the $400 point.

I bought Hisense H8c HDR 4k tv a year ago which is basically previous model of this one, and I'm happy. Would definitely buy Hisense again. I want to try to figure out a way to flip my Best buy warranty for this 55 inch H8C into a 65 inch H9C
and for me to pay the difference. 🤔

I also have the H8c, which replaced an LG that fried it's main board in the 13 month. The Hisense looks better than the LG did and while watching Netflix or TV. Hard to believe it was half the cost of what my KS8000. Had 2 LG's break 3 times in 15 months, no more LG's in my house with their fake panels.
