I held out for a long time but ended up with one. perfect for fish sticks, tater tots, reheating foods like fried chicken, breads, etc.. from leftovers. Compared to soggy microwave food it's great

You can do so much more than just "fry" with an air fryer. I use mine just about everyday. Food comes out delicious and fast. Pork chops, French fries, biscuits, hash browns, bacon, fish are just a few things I make regularly. You can control the temperature easily. So roasts and big cuts of meat come out perfect. Made the best turkey breast I ever had the other day. So juicy and flavorful. Air fryers are more like confection ovens with the heat blowing and circulating. Best thing about the air fryer is they clean super easy.

Air fryers in general are a joke. You want to get a deep fryer because the food can really soak the oil which makes it taste a lot more delicious. If biting into something isn't causing it to drip oil, then you did it wrong.
I am betting you are just being silly. Air fryers are very versatile, just not the best way to name them, as it is a little misleading. More like convection toaster ovens. Less oil in your food is better for you. You can spray or baste with oil/butter/cooking spray to simullate fried food flavor/ texture, but it is not the same.
Many frozen foods are pre-fried, so it won't be much different than pan frying or deep frying. I tried raw potatoes using a recipe and it was very labor intensive and the results were pathetic for french fries. Easier to pan fry/deep fry. Now ore ida's etc, come out fine and much better than oven baked.

These are the best for reheating, and especially pizza or things needing cripsiness brought back. We use ours almost daily.

Thanks OP - repped. I use mine maybe 2-3 times a day - make spuds, fresh veggies, fries, chicken, even have reheated all sorts of leftovers. They are still $49 around me but will keep watching and grab another at this price...

Have you ever used an Air Fryer? They are awesome, I do agree with you on the oil situation...some things do not taste the same on the air fryer but they are great believe me. Of course YOU CANNOT COOK AN EGG ON THE AIR FRYER. But hotdogs, bacons, spam, fish sticks, and more are awesome on the air fryer

I bought this exact model for $40 a few weeks ago and love it. Especially with it being hot in the summer no need to put oven on as alternative to oil frying frozen stuff. IMHO, best gadget I have purchased in awhile. I would not hesitate to buy at this price. I might even buy one as a gift.
