I've had these before and returned it, but I bought it at the price point of $85.

First off, don't get carried away from the appearance. It looks good with the mesh on the outer earcups, but some people had problems with it getting dirty easily

It comes with the mesh(shown in pic) and microfiber cups. The mesh sounds like sandpaper when you move around especially if you have a beard and doesn't feel comfortable so you should probably switch to the microfiber cups (kinda ruins the look because the outer is mesh but oh well). The mic is average nothing special. The sound on the other hand is quite good which overall makes this a good deal in my opinion for the price point of $50.

I have these and it's a good price point. I like these a lot because it's a simple interface removable mic and good cord length (not too short, not overly long). It's light and not too tight on my head. It doesn't get hot like the Razer Kraken line and snug enough for me over the G430s. Removable mic is a plus since I have a mic already mounted to my desk. The cord is simple, one 3.5mm wire into usb which makes it great for if you want to use it for the switch or other consoles by just plugging it straight in using 3.5mm.

I got these from best buy for $50 a few months ago. They're alright. Definitely better quality than my old logitech headphones (G230). I don't find the surround sound very useful, it just makes everything sound tinny. Instead I keep them in stereo and enjoy it more. The microphone works very reliably.

The good thing, is I have a feeling these are actually going to last a very long time, they just have a more premium feel. The only color they had when I was at best buy was blue camoflage, which was kind of weird looking but I don't mind. The cloth texture feels good to me.

for $50 I think they are worth it. however I've never really worn headsets more expensive than this.

Definitely do not buy these for the surround sound. maybe buy them for being reliable and a better feel than the G230 headset.

Are these open or closed headphones? (do they let external sound in or do they shut out external sound)

I've been looking for an open backed gaming headset so I can still hear if my kids are still alive while I play. Also, the open aired headphones are more comfortable over long periods because your ears can breath a bit.

HS60 all the way. The build quality on the HS60's is so much better. They don't feel like you're handling cheap china junk and the sound, IMO is comparable if not better. These feel like they'd break on you at some point if used frequently.
