Might wanna edit - u got the wrong 500gb drive description (but it goes to the right link)

The 512gb s700 PRO is the one that is $91 and its much better than the 500gb non pro version (and larger lol)

Never again. Bought this 2mo ago, actually the "PRO" version. Failed this past week. Returning it (bought at Walmart).

Did you buy the 512 or 256gb? I bought the 256 pro and still going strong.

They all die eventually. I buy and sell often. Backup, keep the receipt, look for longer warranty. Any brand may die anytime unfortunately. Be safe than sorry. Good price though.

I absolutely agree. There is no reason to buy an infereror ssd with cheap micron memory chips when one can have the cream of the crop, Samsung 860 EVO for ~$100.

This drive is a chinese OEM. We don't even know what the manufacturer is. But we do know this one is china originated. It's a SSD in disguised as HP. Any words?

HP S700 Pro 512GB: $91.50 3-Year Warranty
Samsung 860 EVO 500GB : $106~$118 5-Year Warranty

Go with Samsung.

Lol well I can think of one, keep buying from competitors and help drive competition? Then maybe Samsung will get as cheap as HP Smilie
