caution for anyone who's about my size(6 foot 3, 248 pounds... yes, I'm fat)... Icelandic agents at Reykjavik forced me to buy a 2nd ticket during check in.... I had to get home, so I kind of agreed. Fortunately, I disputed the charge with AmEx after I got home... Eventually, AmEx did a chargeback and forced Icelandic to give me my money back. That was in January 2017.

Isn't this sort of risky time to go weather-wise? Here are some photos looking nice but with couple caveats http://www.fourjandals.com/europe...oto-essay/ - like "most expensive city in the world...."(in 2015)

Yeah, isn't it basically dark and cold all day in Norway in December? In summer it's the most beautiful place on earth, but winter?

I have done Norway in December around Oslo and Bergen. The days are shorter (approx 9am till 3 or 4pm) but you can still enjoy it. If you are outside the big towns, the clear night skies are beautiful. But beware, it is cold!

Is that the entire story? Your stats aren't that uncommon. Plenty of people that are that tall and weight. I understand if you are a professional bball player.

Unfair to you. That's a crazy story.

well... tell that to my doctor.... she just made an appointment for me to see a registered dietitian Smilie

I don't mind if airlines want to charge people with fat ass like mine, but they must have it in a clearly spelled out policy. (which the Icleandic agent could not show me)

Though tickets are somewhat 'cheap', but eating out is a bit expensive in both countries & am not even speaking about fine dining.
