Great price! Now, if only the 1050's would come back down to this level.

This is a good deal for a newer low range card. what's missing are the deals on midrange cards, the $200 price point.

Thanks, OP - I bought one to try out. Never have done any mining, but I'll see what it's like.

So I've been out of the hardware loop for a LONG time.

What would a card like this actually play well?

Under no circumstance would I ever recommend this card for gaming, unless it was free.

You're better off saving an extra $150 and putting that $250 towards a decent card. Otherwise, this card is bad even on a budget... To make an even better point, its even slower than the older GTX 670 which launched in 2012 and used goes for half the price.

In short,

For gaming? You're better off purchasing a used GTX 970 or R9 280.
For anything else? Just run with the dedicated graphics controller on your CPU. LMAO

Depends on what ur shooting for . I bought a prebuilt Lenovo PC with a rx560 installed and 16GB ram and it handled any games my kid plays (Roblox and others like that) without changing setting . I am not a gamer by any stretch... But if you are asking about gaming (and don't feel like going on YouTube for review) I'd say your fine with it as long as youre not big on performance. (I quickly toggled over to YouTube app and saw someone play 10 games including GTA v and pubg and it looked good)

This is meant for gaming on a budget, for which is perfectly acceptable. The 560 is far from a powerhouse, but it handles low 1080P 60Hz well, which is the expectation for this price range and makes fit easy to upgrade an OEM desktop for gaming, as it doesn't need a PSU plug to run. Your options (970/280) are more powerful, but also use more power (can't upgrade the old, cheap Dell/HP/whatever desktop to play games) and likely don't have a warranty.

This card can run GTA 5 on very high at around 60 fps, how's this bad for $100 ? Not sure if you're trolling...
