It appears that a lot of Intra-California routes are $39/one way on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday in August-November.

Some routes that I found include SNA-SMF, SNA-SJC, SNA-OAK, SAN-SFO, SAN-SJC, SAN-OAK, LAX-SFO, LAX-OAK, LAX-SJC, ONT-SJC, ONT-SFO, ONT-OAK. I'm sure there are much more but these are a few that I found!

To view these deals click on the "Low Fare Calendar" and enter 2 California cities.

probably not. But for people living there already, it's not bad to have sale. Just too bad it doesn't apply to WA/OR destination.

There are never deals to PDX. Cheapest I ever found in last 4 years was $80 each way. Generally all sales though Southwest or Alaska are $99 each way.
