recommendations for travel router and travel-friendly streaming device

expected to go on a few trips this year and was doing a bit of searching for a portable travel router and streaming device. Seems like TPLINK N300 [] is a popular easy to use option. However, the Gli AR300m-lite [] looks neat with customizability (I guess I'd just use the VPN feature?).

Also streaming device I think I was between chromecast, fire stick, and getting one of those fanless pc sticks []

What do you guys think?

For the VPN just know you need a VPN server to connect to. VPN client is pretty common on travel routers so you might read into the TP link one more. Personally I don't think I would spend $175 on a mini pc for streaming a few trips a year. Running full blown W10 just to stream seems excessive (Although you would have lots of options). Don't forget a travel power strip and a little extension cord, to power all this stuff too. There are never enough plugs where you need them.

Depending on what you want to stream you may be able to keep it simpler.

Joining guest networks at hotels with streaming devices can be difficult, but hotels often have Ethernet jacks available. You might want to try the ethernet adapters for the chromecast or fire stick.

Have you ever stopped to think the long-term GOP immigration policy might be to make the United States of America a less desirable place to live than Mexico?
