  • DELICIOUS TASTE: All the thick, chewy, goodness of a chocolate chip cookie - gone nutritious!
  • SOFT-BAKED & WHOLE GRAIN: Zbar is an organic, soft & chewy snack bar made with 8-11g whole grains; it is also a good source of fiber
  • ORGANIC & NON-GMO: CLIF Kid cares about the planet just as much as your kids! That is why Zbar is certified USDA Organic and Non-GMO
  • A GO-TO FOR PARENTS: Zbar is lunchbox ready, free from ingredients that parents are looking to avoid, such as high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors, and synthetic preservatives
  • DESIGNED TO NOURISH: Zbar is made with a blend of carbohydrates, fiber, protein, and fat to keep kids satisfied at snack time and give them energy to keep zipping and zooming throughout the day

10g sugar + 11g "other carbs"

but it's organic!

that said, most of these bars (especially that taste good) are around the 10-12g/bar mark. While we should strive for almost no sugar, the WHO latest recommendation is no more than 25g of free sugars/day - one of these bars is almost half that.

Costco every day price is $18.99 for 36 so about 5 cents less per bar from amazon.

thanks! this is cheaper than the pack at Costco, and my kids don't like the chocolate chip and only tolerate the oatmeal cookie, so in for 4 boxes of the chocolate brownie. and, re: somewhat holier than thou sugar comments, at least it's not a doughnut. I'm 33 weeks pregnant and if I don't have to make it, I'm all in.

I myself try to keep sugar low...usually.

But I also do endurance sports; sugar, carbs, and salt keep you going when you're going long distances.

People who kill their livers with alcohol and get a transplant also survive. Not the best analogy but makes the point

Yeah but the kids wouldn't eat them if they had zero sugar in them, and that would mean that parents might actually have to make a real snack for their kids. Ain't NOBODY got time for that.
