equivalent to two 27" monitor side by side at 1080p - there's a good review on RTings. Very niche product but looks good.

I suggest taking your business where it'll be appreciated with prompt service. Don't pay for fast shipping. Last order wasn't even shipped till the day after it should have arrived, and only then after I called and spent MY TIME trying to do their job. In total I've now wasted over 5 hours on this place.
Newegg has consistently been a positive experience for me (not that I doubt you). Was it a 3rd party seller or Newegg themselves that messed up? You may want to consider giving them another shot.

I think you can get two really nice 27inch+ monitors for under 435 a piece. It is a really nice monitor though if you have the disposable income. I would rather just have two monitors

Watch Linus Tech Tip's YouTube review on this monitor. I wouldn't buy it. The monitor is only 1080p resolution, so everything is really squished vertically. Also, because of the resolution the monitor is going to come off grainy and pixelated. I can't recall the exact number, but the monitor has a very LOW ppi (pixel per inch) for this size monitor.

Nothing will be "squished" as this is an ultra-wide monitor. As everyone is saying, essentially 2 27" monitors side by side except no bezel in the middle. This is a cool monitor but definitely not for everyone.

I own this monitor and I don't see anything super squished. It is an ultra wide monitor. I use it mainly for work and it is nice to not have a bezel between my monitors. I also play fortnite on this occasionally and i have no problems. I'd rather game at 1080p and have high FPS then go 4k and barely hit 60FPS. If you enjoy first person shooters then you would want more fps.

It's like 80 or so. The 1080 turned me off. It should not have been so low. I'm holding out for a BFTV.

Ultrawide, yes. But I'm talking VERTICALLY (going up and down) is only 1080. Again, things are going to be squished going up and down because of the low resolution.

Go with the 38" monitors that are 3840x1600. Almost 4K (you'll still fit two windows side-by-side for multitasking), and for occasional gamers, the 75Hz refresh rate is nice.

The 1080p on this Samsung monitor is a huge turnoff. They should have made it MINIMUM 1440p. Had they chosen 1600p, that would have been a sweet spot like on the 38" monitors.
