Any comments this time around? User/owner stories? Can it run PUBG mobile on an android emulator?

The Black one or the Gold one?

Not a bad deal if you can tolerate the small keyboard. I recently bought a netbook from this company (less features version) but I had to return it as the solid state storage went defective (would no longer accept writing to it). Annoying, as I could not restore to factory condition.

So far so good. When the screen is off I noticed some line scuffs, no idea if it came that way, or if i caused it or if the pen caused it.

I love this laptop it can run league of legends. I'll have to check the framerate when I get home.

I take it to work daily. It's full aluminum and feels extremely sturdy. It feels like it's just over 3lbs. Compared to my 2.26lb Lenovo yoga 710s it is a little bit of a noticeable weight difference, but not a lot. The dimensions seem identical, they did a great job of making it very thin and small.

I installed a $36 128gb ssd and used the suggested cloning software. It took about 20mins to clone and then in the bios I set it to the boot drive no problem at all. Half hour process at most.

I bought a usb-c network adapter because I did not like the usb-a ports on this thing. They feel like they changed the chassis design at the last minute to make it look thinner for no reason at all. And it makes the usb ports look odd. I ended up buying usb port rubber dust covers for $5 on Amazon and used an exacto knife to trim it and make it look flush. It's not needed but I like my customization.

On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate overall speed? I know it's subjective, but for a few open Google Chrome tabs (1 with a YouTube video), Word, and maybe another small program, that would really help me justify whether to purchase.

The laptop has a screen protector film on it that scuffs really easily. It is easy to miss but you can remove it. Did you maybe leave the screen protector on?

This laptop really does a lot for something at this price. I still use it with the stock storage (no SSD) and it is still quite useable. Cutting it close with the available storage I have left (8-10GB) but something like this, I'm not planning on installing any large apps.

Great display, truly IPS and FHD, decent max brightness. Body is full metal except for the display area. Problem with that, it makes the laptop heavy for its size and the metal acts like a heatsink for the fanless design so the laptop almost always feels warm and sometimes hot.

Otherwise, I love the laptop. I use it as a tablet while lounging around since my Yoga 720 is too heavy to comfortably lounge with. Great side convertible for anyone who wants a 2-in-1 without having to spend the money on a higher performance laptop.

I went with the Gold option. It looks really good b/c of the all-aluminum chassis. Only concern is that the color might fade unevenly over time.

I read a complaint about a proprietary charging port. Does this also charge via USB-C?

Yes, but only with higher wattage chargers. Not with cell phone-type chargers.

After i put the 128gb ssd in, it loads up from hibernate pretty quickly, i had to figure out how to turn that on from google. I would say it opens the browser fast and loads web pages quickly. i havent really tried any applications other than league of legends, but it runs that very well =) For what i expected its like an 8 out of 10, but its subjective to what you want to do with it, wish i could be of more help.

Repped, thanks for your insight. I am really interested in Chromebooks but have only seen refurb deals pop on here. Plus, the idea of downscaling from 1080p on this machine to 720p on a Chromebook makes me hesitant to go Chrome. But everyone's idea of how easy Chromebooks work right out of the box, snappy speed, and a plethora of apps, gets me wondering... Still debating on whether I should go with this and get a larger SSD.
