20% of amazon reviews are 1 star.
As a fan of "buy once cry once" this bike has too much plastic for me (including plastic crangshafts!) I have decided to pass. It's a $100 bike. Expectations shouldn't be too high.

I have this bike. Super heavy and the shocks suck. I paid more than this but you definitely get what you pay for. The folding also isn't as well thought as as say, a Dahon. I ended up buying a bike rack anyways since this doesn't fold very compact.

Why's a teen need a folding bike? Get him a nice aluminum regular bike.

No, don't get a teen a $100 bike if at all possible. They won't use it. If you get a cheap bike, go hardtail w/ front suspension only or full rigid (no suspension) bike.
