Brush up on your math 40% off stacked on additional 10% off does not equate 50% off and this deal has been posted days ago.
Little bit harsh. 1/2 of $20 is $10 = 50%. Whether or not its how its supposed to add up based on the advertisement, I went by the actual numbers. So while I do not pride myself in math skills, I do know that 50% off $20 is $10.

No this deal was not posted days ago. There was no additional 10% off in that post, and it contained different items.

10% off with code BRCARD has been active since last year (gap/br card required). This new 10% off still doesn't equate 50% off tho.

Brush up on manners and also check yourself before you post nonsense. These two promo codes are being applied to the original sale prices, therefore the 40% and 10% equate to 50% off as stated in OP.

Card specific deals are not same as a code available for all. And how does $19.97 for $9.98 not equal 50%?

Not being Shady but 40% plus an additional 10% is not 50% - it drives me crazy when GAP employees say that -it's 46% which isn't bad but it's not 50% .

Say something costs 100 dollars, whether it's on sale or not is irrelevant. 40% off is 60 dollars and then, an additional 10 per cent is $6 so you pay $54 which is 46 per cent off. That might be 50 per cent off original prices or even 75 per cent but that doesn't really matter since nobody pays full price at GAP - 40 per cent off is pretty standard.

Gap might have programmed it to be 50 per cent this time around but 40 per cent plus and additional 10 is 46 - you can't add percentages off because you're not getting the extra 10 per cent off 100 you're getting it of the already reduced price (normally, anyway)

I would hope that everyone on Slickdeals knows by now how MOST stacked percentages are figured, but this post was one of those examples where the two promo codes were being taken off the full sale price, giving a discount of 50%.

Loved those! Until I realized how ridiculous they actually looked and had to go back to the rip off gym pants
