PSA: Chase Freedom losing Price Protection August 26, 2018

FYI, just got a "Secure Message" from Chase saying they are removing Price Protection from the Chase Freedom Visa Signature cards starting August 26 this year.

Thought I'd give a heads up to anybody that might have missed it.

New benefits are posted here: https://www.chasebenefits.com/freedom

At least I had just used it for maximum effect this year for my 65B7A OLED.

It's actually all chase cards, not just freedom: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/ch...all-cards/

Wow. This is a little sad. Which other credit cards still have price protection other than Discover?

According to a CS Rep over at Chase Card Services, you can still use the price protection feature up to August 25, 2018. Any rep telling you that the new changes are in immediate effect---is not doing their job correctly.

Yes and we can all thank you and everyone like you who used price protection against stores that didn't actually exist with prices they wouldn't actually sell at forcing card companies to kill the benefit. Applause
